KANSAS CITY, Kansas (AP) -Sporting Kansas City moved back into a share of the lead in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference despite being held to a scoreless draw by Houston Dynamo on Saturday.

Sporting has 33 points, tying them with D.C. United.

Houston earned a road point and extended its unbeaten streak to three matches despite being outshot 17-7.

REAL SALT LAKE 3, PORTLAND TIMBERS 0

In Sandy, Utah, Alvaro Saborio scored three second-half goals to help Real Salt Lake beat Portland.

RSL snapped a four-game winless streak and moved within a point of Western Conference leader San Jose.

Portland lost its third straight road game and is still winless away from home this season.

Saborio broke a prolonged scoring drought for RSL with a headed goal in the 60th minute, off a pass from Kyle Beckerman.

He came up with an even better goal two minutes later. Chris Wingert fired a pass deep into the center of the box. Saborio met the ball on the run and headed it home.

DALLAS 0, SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES 0

In Frisco, Texas, defenders Hernan Pertuz and Carlos Rodriguez each cleared shots off the line and Kevin Hartman made two spectacular saves in the final 10 minutes to preserve a home draw for Dallas against San Jose.

Dallas, last in the Western Conference, has now gone a team-record 13 games without a win.

The point allowed San Jose to maintain its spot atop the MLS overall standings.

The Earthquakes played the last 10 minutes with ten men after captain Ramiro Corrales was shown two yellow cards within three minutes.
