WAU -?University of Bahr El Ghazal Dean board in Wau denounced the examinations invigilation strike staged on Wednesday by teaching staff in the College of Education who were tasked to oversee the examinations in different college departments.The board immediately convened a meeting on Wednesday following the strike by the teaching staff which led to indefinite call off of the examination process for one day of its commencement.Dr. Kuol Pal, the Secretary of Academic Affairs at the University of Bahr El Ghazal, said that the Deans board meeting resolved the issue and strongly condemned the strike which he described as a surprise to the University administration and wau community at large.Pal, said in reference to invigilation examinations strike triggered by the teaching staff of the college of education, the University Dean Boards sincerely extended apology to all the students in different colleges and entire University for any inconvenience.He further added that the Dean Board ordered the examinations to be resumed as scheduled and those courses which are supposed to be done on Wednesday 29/8/2012 were deferred to 14/9/2012.The staff who went on strike insisted that their demand was tabled earlier on and the University administration was aware about it although the students were not informed about the issue surrounding the delay of the second semester examinations.
