A Number Of Ideas By Yours Truly...

Hello all, I am Colonel Masters; I imagine quite a few of you know me by now.

As some of you know I have difficulty making my ideas into role plays probably because of my still doggy writing and my writing styles.

I will list here a few ideas i have for role plays and some brief information on each idea, I would like to know what ideas you think are worth developing. I guess this is a search for role playing partners but it's also a search for some one or a number of people to help me turn my ideas into role-plays. If any of you have ideas of your own I can also help with things such as the fictional history and the setting however i am not particularly good at posting my role-plays which is the main reason why i am making this post.

These are some of my ideas; some I have been working on some are still ideas, I think i shared a few of them with a number of people but i do not know if these people have done anything with them. Feel free to use these ideas for your own role-plays if you want to but do say so; I might join.

1) My first idea for a role-play which i did post up but it didn't get anywhere. Its a role play about an exploration vessel which has been traveling for a number of decades in space on its way to a far away star system, when the ship emerges from its high acceleration flight and the crew awake from their hibernation the ship is hit by a crippling blast of energy. The crew is forced to abandon the ship and escape on a shuttle to the only Earth like planet in the alien solar system however due to damage it sustains from a second less powerful burst of energy the shuttle crash lands in a marsh on the planets surface. The shuttle is badly damaged and a number of the crew have been killed of wounded and the survivors face the hardship of survival on the alien world such as:
A higher level of background radiation which demands the use of pills, hazard suits and a time limit per exploration.
A limited food supply and the risk of consuming the unknown flora on the planet
The swamps in which the shuttle crashed
Limited armaments
The impossibility of getting any help from the rest of human civilization
And the unknown itself

In my original idea two ships from rivaling human factions entered the alien solar system however both where damaged and the survivors where forced to become one crew in order to repair the last remaining intact shuttle. This element added the risk of internal fighting since the only senior officer in both crews who did not die is badly wounded and in a coma.

I also have two other similar ideas of basically the same type as the above:

One is based on a TV program called the day after tomorrow or into infinity, it never progressed beyond its pilot episode however I think it had at least as much promise as doctor who had when it was first broadcasted in 1963 and the original star track.

The story is about the first interstellar starship developed by humanity and its crew which is made out of both adults and children due to the aging problem while using engines capable of nearing light speed; while only a number of weeks or months pass for you decades and centuries may pass on the earth and as a result the children are specially educated and trained for the mission along with their parents. The reason for the voyage is Earths effort to discover new Earthlike planets due to the overcrowding and pollution of Earth however the voyage of this ship is meant to be experimental.

The voyage at first progresses as planed and the ship arrives to Alpha century and plants a number of probes and satellites in the system, the crew decide to push on into space however an malfunction in the engines causes the ship to go out of control and the crew pass out as a result of the pressure. (I am going to cut a part of the events that happened in the pilot episode from now on)

When they awake they find themselves in a dark area of space, they attempt to fly away however an unseen force does not allow them to do so. They soon discover that they are being pulled in by a black hole and believe that this is the end however they discover that the black hole is rotating and hope that it may be a gateway to another universe as stated by a theory regarding such black holes. After the horrendous experience of traveling in the black hole they find themselves in another universe and begin their adventure. There is no hope for them to ever return to Earth and they know it.

I think its an interesting idea for a role play, I actually like it more now after writing it.

The other idea I will describe in short, and no I was not inspired by star gate universe to make this I actually saw star gate universe afterwards and I have been since then hesitant to suggest this idea because I personally think that star gate universe was horrible.

This idea was about a school trip into ancient caves which takes a turn to the worse when an earthquake causes the caves to collapse. Some of the students see a light while the caves collapse around them and having nothing better to go for run towards it as one of them touches the shining symbol of the war in desperation they all loss conscientious as the cave ceiling falls apart. Those who made it near the light awake on a mysterious place and once one of them discovers how to switch on the lights they see that they are in space from a viewing screen.

The idea is that the students stumble upon an ancient alien ship which as a result of an automatic reaction launches itself from Earth and towards deep space. The students make themselves at home at the ship as they try to understand it but they are unaware of other dangers in the ship. I could use help to develop the idea.

Ideas on a different style which I have worked on are not exactly roleplays but I have two which I did some writing for:

1)
Is an idea is an alternative reality in which the Roman Empire after its downfall in Europe 1500 years ago begins a new effort to restore itself. The setting is a Victorian like to World War 1 setting in which the plane, the automobile and radio are the most revolutionary discoveries to date. The story takes place in a small country in the area of modern day Belgium which was overrun and occupied by the Roman legions. As the war rages on in multiple fronts a resistance movement grows in the country and begins to fight back against the invaders. In one of their first victories the resistance is able to gain plans for a new airship which if launched will grant the Roman legions absolute air superiority (it is not a zeppelin but more like a flying battleship, I know its not very realistic but I will think of some magic if engine which permits it)

The resistance also discovers that the emperor will attend the launching of the airship or as it's named the flying fortress and decides to both sabotage the airship and assassinate the emperor. To counter their plans the feared all Seeing Eye counter terrorism secret police arrives in the country to put an end to the resistance once and for all.

2) In a similar a bit fictional tech setting a commercial airship called the golden age enjoys its first flight from England, London to the British colonial protectorate of America, Terra Maria. During the journey the largely high class and nobility present on the voyage enjoy banquettes and dances in the first class environment however soon the corps of the captain is found and it's up to the noble Sir Holmes to search for the killer before any other patron is killed. This idea is meant to follow a classical style detective story however in the environment of a fictional history in which Catholicism prevailed in England and the British Empire defeated the United States in the war of independence and was the all powerful nation known as the Holy Roman Empire Of Britannia.

These are a number of my ideas, I will add some more later. Please Please Please! Give me some feedback! :D

There are a few other ideas I have but i did not post them because i do not want to overburden you all.
